Most standard racing clubs out there have large numbers of members in each horse (sometimes up to 4500 shares), but you might be surprised to find out that generally, only six of those members can go racing as owners on any given day.
These clubs then do ballots to decide who can go to cheer the horse on when it’s racing – it’s highly likely that members/shareholders in most racing clubs will rarely get to experience being an actual owner on the racecourse, in fact it’s almost certain that they will never get to experience it.
